British Rail

British Rail was a state-owned company that operated most rail transport services in Great Britain from 1948 when the "Big Four" railway companies (the Great Western Railway, London and North Eastern Railway, Southern Railway, and the London, Midland and Scottish Railway) were nationalised until it was privatised in 1997. In British Rail Southern Region, since the game takes place in a fictional island in Great Britain named "Glasdon Island" (formerly the Isle of Knowle) during the 1990s, British Rail is in operation, but during sectorisation. Therefore, the sectors are Network SouthEast, InterCity, and Railfreight.
